Festive Canal

What a wonderful day!  My parents have been visiting from Alberta for the last week and it has been great.  We have been doing some sightseeing while enjoying the amazing weather.  It has been +25 C the last few days.  In fact, tonight we went for a walk through Bricktown along the Canal, and enjoyed some ice cream from Marble Slab.  Yes, that is right, ice cream in November.  And we ate it outside, in short sleeves and sandles.  I could get used to this.  Did I mention it is in the -20s C at home?

Thanksgiving is celebrated tomorrow here in the United States, and it seems to signal the beginning of the Christmas season.  Trees have been getting decorated around the city for the last week and it looks beautiful.  I am definately excited to get ready for the wonderful holiday season!

Here are some photos from the Canal area, decorated for Christmas!

We enjoyed some delicious food at Toby Keith's Bar & Grill earlier in the week.

We enjoyed listening to some Christmas music while walking along the Canal.

Earlier in the week we enjoyed a ride along the Canal on one of these Water Taxi's.  Our guide was great and shared lots of information about Oklahoma City.  There are lots of ducks along the Canal as people often feed them here.

One more festive view of the Canal.

What a great way to spend a warm evening in Oklahoma City.  I am definately going to be in the Christmas spirit, even without snow!
